Meth 10mg Tablet works by suppressing the activity of the immune system and helps reduce pain and swelling. It also slows the growth of cancer cells.

• Choriocarcinoma

Choriocarcinoma is a fast-growing cancer that occurs in a woman's uterus. Meth 10mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Choriocarcinoma.

• Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder that affects the small joints in the body causing pain and swelling. Meth 10mg Tablet is used to treat this condition along with other medicines and physical therapy.

• Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune skin condition characterized by red inflamed skin, often covered by scales. Meth 10mg Tablet is used to treat this condition.

• Acute lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) and Lymphoma

Methotrexate 2.5 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of certain cancers such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia (a type of blood cancer), and lymphoma (cancer that starts in the cells that are part of the body's immune system). It helps to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and Lymphoma:

• Meth 10mg Tablet is used in the treatment of certain cancers, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (a type of blood cancer) and lymphoma (cancer originating in immune system cells). It works by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells.

Pharmacology:

Meth 10mg Tablet, classified as an 'anti-metabolite and immunosuppressant,' is employed in treating various conditions, including active rheumatoid arthritis, polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, severe psoriasis, and severe psoriatic arthritis. Its pharmacological action involves interrupting immune system processes responsible for joint inflammation in rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, leading to pain reduction and inflammation alleviation. Additionally, Meth 10mg Tablet is used, either alone or in combination with other medications, to treat breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, mycosis fungoides, and advanced-stage non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Its mechanism involves interference with DNA production to prevent cancer cell growth. Meth 10mg Tablet may also find application in treating inflammatory bowel disease.

Dosage & Administration:

Administration Instructions:

Oral Administration:

• Best taken on an empty stomach.
• May be taken with meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Avoid taking milk-rich products.

IV/IM Preparation:

• Reconstitute with D5W or NS.
• 20-mg vial: Up to 25 mg/mL.
• 1-g vial: Up to 50 mg/mL.
• Further dilution may be necessary for IV infusion.

IV/IM Administration:

• Administer by IM, IV push, or IV infusion.
• Regular IV: Given with no more than 25 mg/mL.
• IV push: Administered at 10 mg/min.
• IV infusion (>100 mg): Administered over 30 minutes to 4 hours, or according to institutional protocol.
• High-dose therapy (uses 1-g vial): Administered over 4 hours.
• Specific dosing schemes vary, but high doses should be followed by leucovorin 24 hours after initiation of therapy to prevent toxicity.

Adult Dose:

• Oral (PO) Administration:
  • Choriocarcinoma: 15-30 mg/day for 5 days, repeat after at least 1 week for 3-5 courses.
  • Mycosis fungoides: 2.5-10 mg/day to induce remission.
  • Burkitt's lymphoma: 10-25 mg/day for 4-8 days, repeat after 7-10 days.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis: 7.5 mg once weekly, adjust if needed, up to 20 mg/week.
  • Crohn's disease: 12.5-22.5 mg once weekly for up to 1 year.

Intravenous (IV) Administration:

• Psoriasis: 10-25 mg once weekly, adjust subsequent doses if needed.
• Osteosarcoma: 12-15 g/m² as an infusion, followed by folinic acid.
• Breast cancer: 10-60 mg/m² often with cyclophosphamide and fluorouracil.
• Advanced lymphosarcoma: Up to 30 mg/kg, followed by folinic acid rescue.
• Acute lymphoblastic leukemia Maintenance: 2.5 mg/kg every 14 days.

Intramuscular (IM) Administration:

• Acute lymphoblastic leukemia Maintenance: 15 mg/m² 1-2 times/week with other agents.
• Choriocarcinoma: 15-30 mg/day for 5 days. Repeat after at least 1 week for 3-5 courses.
• Mycosis fungoides: 50 mg/week in 1-2 divided doses.
• Crohn's disease: 25 mg once weekly for 16 weeks. Maintenance: 15 mg/week.

Intrathecal Administration:

• Meningeal leukemia: 12 mg/m² (Max: 15 mg) once weekly for 2-3 weeks, then once monthly.

Hepatic Impairment:

• Bilirubin 3.1-5.0 mg/dL or AST > 3 times ULN: Give 75% of the dose.
• Bilirubin >5.0 mg/dL: Avoid use.

Child Dose:

Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis:

• Initial: 10 mg/m² PO/IM/SC once weekly.

Meningeal Leukemia:

• <1 year: 6 mg intrathecally (IT) every 2-5 days.
• 1-2 years: 8 mg IT every 2-5 days.
• 2-3 years: 10 mg IT every 2-5 days.

3 years: 12 mg IT every 2-5 days.

Renal Dose:

Renal Impairment:

• CrCl (ml/min) Dosage Recommendation:
  • 61-80: 75% of the dose.
  • 51-60: 70% of the dose.
  • 10-50: 30-50% of the dose.
  • <10: Avoid use.

Intermittent Hemodialysis:

• 50% of the dose at normal dosing intervals.

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy:

• 50% of the dose at normal dosing intervals.

Interaction

Certain medications may interact with Meth 10mg Tablet, influencing its effectiveness, or Meth 10mg Tablet itself may impact the efficacy of other drugs if taken concurrently. Contraindications

Do not take Meth 10mg Tablet if you:

Pregnancy & Lactation

Precautions & Warnings
